The Dan River Basin Association developed two miles of trails along the Smith River in Fieldale, with extensions and connections underway. The trail is planned to ultimately connect to a statewide trail system called “Beaches to Bluegrass”. This initiative was funded by Dominion Foundation, Harvest Foundation, and donors and contributors of goods and services. Visit the trail today on South River Road in Fieldale, Virginia!
